Fixed Deposits & Pension
Traditionally because of their inherent safety in the Indian context, fixed deposits, bonds, debentures have been very famous with the Indian investor who is risk averse. Though there have been instances where people have lost money in co-operative banks in the greed of wanting some extra interest. Same with fixed deposits of companies giving higher than normal interest.

Please remember that extra interest in any fixed deposit will come with extra risk because if the issuer company has lesser credit ratings then the company will have to give extra interest to entice buyers.

There are so many fixed deposits including bank deposits, company deposits, NCD’s , bonds. We can help you in investing your hard earned money in fixed income options. Some things to note:

Bank Fixed Deposits

Each depositor in a bank is insured upto a maximum of Rs.1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh) for both principal and interest amount held by him in the same capacity and same right as on the date of liquidation/cancellation of bank's licence or the date on which the scheme of amalgamation/merger/reconstruction comes into force.

Company Fixed Deposits

Depends on the type of paper issued. Only if it is a secured paper like SECURED NCD there is security against the money invested. That is why to go for reputed profit making companies only for investing in fixed deposits.
